Join RHP’s Investors’ Circle
If a production finds its audience it can do more than recoup — it can generate licensing income, cast recordings, merchandise, tours, and transfers. RHP produces maximalist, joyful, audience-centric theatre with a British sensibility at the centre. This work sits in genres like romcoms, sitcoms, satire, wholesome and girlypop, built on stories audiences already know and love, from histrpopular novels, films and music catalogues. Projects are chosen with Rafia's own taste and a commercial nose.
The Producer
RHP was founded by Rafia Hussain — selected by Stage One for its ‘5 at 50’ programme, investing in the sector’s next generation of leaders. With a decade of experience in the subsidised sector and a formal commercial producing education, RHP brings rigour, taste, and genuine curatorial selectivity to every production decision. RHP’s first commercial credit is Sylvia — the Olivier-nominated suffragette musical starring Beverley Knight MBE, co-produced with leading West End producer Eleanor Lloyd OBE.
The investors who understand commercial theatre back the producer as much as the production. They invest in a vision, a track record, and a way of thinking about what theatre can be and who it can reach.
What investing in RHP looks like
Theatre is a high risk investment and you should be prepared to lose all of the capital you invest. Investors who understand the business expect to win some and lose some. RHP works with a carefully selected circle of investors who bring passion, capital and genuine appetite for cultural risk. Investors in RHP productions receive transparency on development, budgets, and financial performance, priority access to investment opportunities on future productions, and exclusive access to rehearsals, press nights, and private events.
